Judy is the newest member to join the Auckland branch in the drafting team. She has over 20 years experience within the engineering and construction industry in China, the Middle East and New Zealand. She has been based in New Zealand for 10 years and has worked on a variety of projects. We asked her a couple of questions. Welcome to the team Judy!
The second project we are profiling is the Fraser Avenue apartments with NZLiving. We have worked with NZLiving before on 340 Onehunga Mall Apartments providing the structural design for both projects. We spoke to Shane Brealey from NZLiving about the Fraser Avenue Apartments in Northcote.
As part of the NZ Green Building Week 2019, the first project we are profiling is a two-storey home on Herald Island dubbed ‘The Mangrove home’. Charissa Snijders was the architect and Lautrec provided the structural engineering. We started the project in 2015 and construction was completed this year.
23rd September to 29th September is World Green Building Week.
Denis Pino is the latest edition to the Auckland office. He will taking on the role of Technical Manager.

Fraser Avenue Apartments is the latest project with NZ Living. This five three-storey apartment block is currently in Building Consent.
This is the second project where we have provided the structural design for NZ Living.
Ernest Wong is the newest member to join the Lautrec family. He will be based in our Auckland office and will be part of the structural team. Ernest interned at Lautrec over the summer of 2017/2018 and we are pleased to have him back as a Graduate Engineer.
In his spare time he likes to listen to music, play the piano or watch and play basketball.
March 8 is International Women’s Day and it is an opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved and where to next. The IWD theme for 2019 is #balanceforbetter and we think a balanced workforce is the way forward and should be part of any organisation’s strategic goals.
Blazenka Rose joins our Auckland office as a senior structural engineer. She loves the NZ lifestyle, beaches, hiking, nature, outdoor living and BBQ’s. Her two sons are at University and are pretty much independent allowing her to focus on her career.
