Peter is the newest member to join our structural team. He joined in February but when the country went into lockdown in March he decided to help out the agricultural industry and go fruit picking. We are so pleased to have Peter back with us.
What do you like doing in your spare time?
I love doing physical exercise especially sport such as football and basketball. I also love training in running, swimming and cycling to help my overall health.
What factors contributed to you wanting to become an engineer?
Construction always fascinated me and I am curious about the science behind some of the unbelievable infrastructure that is built. I like the clear logic behind decisions and the broad scope of the job. It also pays well.
What was your final year project for your degree about?
I researched how reinforced concrete behaves after an earthquake in order to assess the reparability of a structure, specifically the effect strain ageing has on the steel.
What attracted you to working with us?
I was looking for a people orientated, supportive, team environment that delivered projects to a high standard.
Is there a book or movie that has made an impact on your life?
The book “Unbroken” definitely inspired me
