Lautrec Consulting is proud to have provided civil and structural engineering for Auckland’s newest Korean Buddhist Temple, a space of renewal and self-reflection built on a former daffodil field. Our engineers tackled complex design challenges to bring the hexagonal main building to life, featuring a mono-pitched roof and a decorative skin inspired by daffodil petals.
Our structural team designed a resilient steel and timber framework to support the temple’s unique form, while our civil engineers managed flood risks, overland flow, and unrecorded infrastructure to ensure a safe and sustainable environment. This project beautifully blends engineering precision with spiritual philosophy, reflecting our commitment to thoughtful, innovative design.
