Leon Yang is the newest member to join Lautrec as part of our structural team. He has recently completed his degree at the University of Canterbury and is now part of the development program for graduates. During his time at the University, he worked as an intern for Fletcher EQR to assist with the Earthquake Recovery works in the Canterbury Home Repairs Program (CHRP), he also has fire engineering experiences having worked as an intern for Crossfire Ltd.

Leon has always been an artistic person with a passion for design growing up along with an interest in maths and science. This was the main reason which pulled Leon into engineering where he could incorporate his interests into improving people’s lives via more economical and sustainable designs.

In his spare time, he likes to hang out with mates, play basketball or go hiking. Leon also has started learning the guitar and enjoys jamming to his favourite songs.
