Ropru Rangsivek who is part of our civil team, went to Brisbane last month to present at the IWA (International Water Association) Nutrient Removal and Recovery Conference.  His paper was on a study carried out in Thailand and is an attempt to close the water-energy-nutrient loop of the agricultural industry and livestock farming by means of phosphorus recycling.  The phosphorus mass balance was analysed from AD treated wastewater samples of five starch and palm oil factories as well as livestock farms in order to evaluate the potential of phosphorus recycling from the effluents.

Watch his video for a brief overview of the study.
